A few years ago, I was asked to conceptualize super short digital pieces for a new app. The app was MiniBar, and at the time, delivering booze to people’s homes seemed almost crazy. We weren’t far removed from the first, legalized television ads for alcohol, so the idea of thumbing your phone to get beer was pretty novel. Of course, that was the whole point… it was the ultimate simplification of the beer run. With this idea in mind, our pieces came together pretty quickly (with ace creative director Andy Hann!) and the rest was pure marketing refreshment! Of course, now we’re more surprised if something CAN’T be delivered.
